If you are coming in for your first visit you can expect a thorough exam of your oral health by Dr. Huang. Your exam will include a comprehensive head and neck exam, complete exam of your hard and soft tissue inside your mouth, and a 360 degrees x-ray. Feel free to discuss any oral health concerns or cosmetic inquiries. We are here to answer all your questions and provide the information you need to have impeccable oral health and a beautiful smile.
- Your first appointment will typically be around 30 minutes with Dr. Huang. If you also schedule a cleaning appointment with one of the hygienists it will typically be an additional 60 minutes.
- It is important to bring your most current list of medications so that Dr. Huang understands your medical issues and background so we can perform dental procedures safely and accordingly.
- If you have dental insurance it is helpful to bring your insurance card along with your breakdown of coverage. Our team will be able to let you know exactly what will be covered under your particular insurance plan.
- If you have your dental records or radiographs from your previous dentist it is helpful to have on file.
- Most people sometimes are afraid to go to the dentist because they are ashamed of the conditions their teeth are in. Dr. Huang and his team strives to create a judgment free environment where all patients can feel comfortable and confident to begin their dental journey. We can even provide tv and headphones to help you relax through your dental appointment.
- Our office is equipped with digital radiographs that require much lower radiation than the traditional x-rays that were used. Dental x-rays are an important tool used to diagnose hidden cavities and gum disease that we may not be able to see during a routine clinical exam. All x-rays are only taken if necessary. Dr. Huang and the team will explain to you why certain x-rays may be required for your specific situation.
- Based on your exam and x-rays, Dr. Huang and the team will discuss your current situation and formulate a treatment plan that is specifically tailored for you. Depending on your goals and condition, different timelines can also be discussed.
